Vegan News for November 2023

Adjacent to South Maui Gardens in Kihei, Papio's Place is a plant-based mobile food kitchen serving delicious cuisine from around the world.

By our count, there are currently 11 vegan or mostly vegan restaurants on Maui — six cafés (aaRoots, Hempy’s Shake and Wake, Maui Kombucha, Choice Health Bar, Earth Aloha Eats and Niu Life Deli) and five food trucks (Papio’s Place, Rainbow Kitchen, Ahonui Foods, Maui Garden Grove Café and Earth Aloha Eats.)  While the total number of vegan outlets has grown considerably in recent years, there is still not a single high-end, all-vegan restaurant anywhere on the island.

Veganic Summit is an online event November 10-12, 2023. Join experts in veganic farming and gardening to explore the transition to sustainable plant-based food systems.  Get a free pass here.
