Coconut Cowgirl creatively uses “coconut to satisfy your dairy, sugar, and meat cravings with our nutrient dense flavor packed products, such as Fresh Coconut Milk, Vegan Coconut Bacon, and Coconut Milk Dark Chocolate Fudge. You’ll only find our Fresh Coconut Milk available at the Maui Upcountry Farmers Market every Saturday.” 

Two mostly vegan restaurants have reopened: Choice Ka’anapali and Moku Roots.

January 2013: Standard battery cages and breeder sow gestation crates after four weeks of pregnancy are banned throughout the European Union, due largely to the efforts of Compassion in World Farming.

January 2014: 3,300 people from all around the world sign up to go vegan, launching Veganuary, an international campaign.
