Maui Food Not Bombs seeks volunteers to make vegan food potluck style (make at your home and bring the food to serve). If you have paper plates and cups, bring that too. Send a direct message with your name and cell phone number.

THIS MONTH IN VEGAN HISTORY

January 2012: The Indian Vegan Society celebrated its 7th anniversary with a gathering in Karnataka.

January 2013: Standard battery cages and breeder sow gestation crates after four weeks of pregnancy are banned throughout the European Union, due largely to the efforts of Compassion in World Farming.

January 2014: 3,300 people from all around the world sign up to go vegan, launching Veganuary, an international campaign.
